Installation Guide
Safety Warning
Before starting any repair work, turn off the machinery, disconnect electrical power, and relieve all pressure from hydraulic or pneumatic lines.
1.Housing Preparation:5 min.Remove adjacent mechanical parts to access the seal housing. Carefully extract the old seal using a seal extractor without scoring the shaft or bore surface. Clean the housing seat with a mechanical degreaser.Verification: Wipe the shaft and housing bore with a clean lint-free cloth to confirm there are no burrs or residue remaining.
2.Initial Lubrication:2 min.Apply a light coating of clean oil or grease to the inner sealing lips of the new ANGUS seal to prevent dry friction upon initial startup.Verification: Ensure the sealing lip has a light, even layer of lubricant around its entire circumference.
3.Pressing the Seal:5 min.Position the ANGUS seal (35x25x7) perfectly square to the bore entrance. Use a seal driver or socket matching the outer diameter to gently press the seal in until fully seated.Verification: Visually inspect the installed seal to ensure it sits flush and even, without any cocking or tilting.
4.Reassembly and Operational Test:10 min.Reinstall the shaft and outer components. Power on the machine and run it for a brief test period.Verification: Inspect the seal area after the test run to confirm there are no fluid leaks or seepage.
