•     Cordless Models: RY18BCX26A, RBC36X26E, RBC36X26B.
•     Petrol Models: RBC26, RBC30, RBC430, RBC52.
•     Corded Models: RBC1226I.

Assembly Instructions (Step-by-Step)

WARNING: Wear heavy-duty protective gloves before starting. Ensure the battery is removed or the spark plug is disconnected.

•     Prepare the Shaft: Turn the brushcutter upside down for easy access to the gear head.
•     Lock the Shaft: Insert the hex key (or the provided locking pin) into the hole on the upper flange and the gear case. Rotate until the pin locks the shaft in place.
•     Position the Blade: Place the RAC117 blade onto the upper flange.

        Important: Ensure the blade is perfectly centered on the flange boss. If misaligned, it will cause dangerous vibrations.

    Securing the Blade: * Place the lower flange (cupped washer) over the blade.

•         Install the stabilizer/protection cover (if applicable to your model).
•         Screw on the fixing nut counter-clockwise (left-hand thread).

    Final Tightening: Tighten firmly using a socket wrench while keeping the shaft locked with the pin.

Disassembly Instructions

•     Locking: Just like during assembly, insert the locking pin into the gear head hole.
•     Unscrewing: Unscrew the nut by turning it clockwise (remember: it is a reverse thread).
•     Removal: Remove the nut, the lower flange, and carefully lift off the Tri-Arc™ blade.
•     Cleaning: Before reassembling a new blade or a line head, clean the shaft of any grass debris or dirt.

Usage and Maintenance Tips

Sharpening vs. Replacement

•     Sharpening: You can sharpen the three edges with a flat file, maintaining the original angle. Sharpen each tooth equally to keep the blade balanced.
•     Replacement: If you notice cracks, bends, or significant wear, replace the blade immediately. An unbalanced blade can damage the motor bearings.

Operational Safety

•     Guards: Always use the specific brushcutter guard designed for blades (which differs from the string trimmer guard).
•     Kickback: Be aware of the "kickback" effect when hitting solid objects like stones or thick stumps with the tip of the blade.
