Assembly Instructions
Here is the correct order for assembling or replacing the components on your Ryobi string trimmer. To ensure proper installation, insert the parts into the trimmer head starting from the inside out:
Spring: Insert this first into the center housing of the trimmer head. It provides the tension required for the "bump feed" mechanism.
Dual-Line Spool (1.2mm): Place the spool on top of the spring. Make sure the two lines are properly threaded through the side eyelets (slots) of the trimmer head.
Spool Cap (RAC118): Place the cap on last. Press down firmly to compress the spring and rotate it (or press the side clips) until it clicks securely into place.
