Replacement Instructions (Technical Guide)

WARNING: Always disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet before starting any repair work. Repairs should be carried out by qualified personnel or experienced technicians.

  •     Carbon Brush Removal:
        Before opening the motor housing, unscrew the brush caps or remove the carbon brushes. This prevents them from breaking or scratching the commutator of the new armature during extraction and installation.

    Opening the Housing:

  •     Unscrew the main body/handle screws and the front gear housing screws. Carefully separate the plastic clamshells, taking note of internal wire routing.
  •     Extracting the Armature Assembly:
        Slide the old armature out of the stator by pulling it forward along with the gear case assembly. Remove the rear bearing sleeve or rubber ring if it remains stuck inside the plastic housing seat.

    Stator Inspection:
    Before inserting the new part, clean dust and carbon debris from inside the stator tunnel. Visually check the stator windings to ensure there are no burn marks or signs of short-circuiting.

    Preparing and Installing the New Armature (4931435401):

  •         Check for bearings and the drive gear/pinion on the new shaft. If they are not pre-installed, you will need to transfer them from the old shaft using an appropriate bearing puller.
  •         Gently slide the new armature into the stator core until it aligns perfectly and mates correctly with the front gear assembly.

    Reassembly & Testing:
    Reassemble the housing shells, ensuring no wires are pinched. Reinsert the carbon brushes (installing a fresh set of brushes is highly recommended when replacing the armature). Rotate the chuck/spindle by hand to ensure smooth rotation before plugging the tool in for a no-load low-speed test run.
